For PHILLBO Delegates going to Boracay via Iloilo:
1. The new Iloilo Airport is 18 kms. away from the city of Iloilo, that’s about 25 to 30 mins. ride depending on traffic condition. You can take a van for a fare of Php 50.00. The usual drop off point is Jaro plaza or SM City. From there, take a taxi to the Tagbak Terminal (part of Jaro). Fare is no more than Php 100.00. If you’ve been to Iloilo City before, you can take a jeepney ride with the signboard: “Iloilo City - Leganes” to Tagbak for a fare of not more than Php 20.00.
2. As an alternative, you can take a taxi from the airport going to Tagbak terminal. Fare is about Php 500.00 flat rate, but you can insist an a metered fare which will cost you about Php 300.00.
3. From the Tagbak terminal, take a bus (Ceres) or rented van for Caticlan via Kalibo, the capital town of Aklan. Travel time is about 5 to 6 hours for a fare of Php 300.00.

To all PHILLBO members outside of Region VI: Since all routes lead to Boracay on the second week of March, we advise that you get your plane booking as early as possible. If you cannot get your ticket for Caticlan or Kalibo as these may be fully booked by this time, the alternative route would be via Roxas City or Iloilo City. Please refer to the first Advisory that we posted in this site for the travel distance, means of transportation and corresponding fares.
